Product Description

Ligustrum Vulgare (Native Privet)- This bushy shrub is commonly found growing amongst hawthorn and blackthorn hedges as well as edging woodlands. Native privet is a semi-evergreen, baring dark green leaves with white flowers in the summer which are followed by black fruits in the autumn. Tends to grow in a gnarly tangled habit, but is able to tolerate shaded conditions making it very useful for game cover.

Fruit: Black rounded berries which appear after the flowers have died.

Soil Types/Habitat: Prefers rich lowland soils. Shade tolerant.
